Distinguished Guests,
Nowadays, we are witnessing the decay of the old globalization model and the emergence of a new system of relations between East and West. We are convinced that the 21st century will only be successful, if we are able to take the opportunities of global and local cooperation. China, the country that is world leading in economy and in the scientific world is extremely important for our region. We can achieve great successes together, if our nations are able to cooperate on the basis of mutual respect and shared benefits in such an important matter as health care. The Central-East European Countries - China Health Minister’s Meeting was established for contributing to the exchange of knowledge between the participating countries, between decision-makers and experts alike.
The Meeting this year will also discuss important topics. Let me mention as an example the ever faster renewal of scientific-technological revolution in medical care, the treatment of civilization harms, changes enforced by the population boom and by the ageing of the population and the developments in building efficient and economically sustainable medical care system. Priority attention shall be paid to prevention – the cheapest and most efficient means of health care! – and to possible spreading of health-conscious attitude. We are looking forward with great expectations to deeper studying of the traditional Chinese medicine.
We sincerely welcome you in Hungary and in Budapest! I wish big success to all participants of the 3rd CEEC-China Health Minister’s Meeting!
